The recent decision by Department of Home Affairs to extend the deadline for the final cancellation of Zimbabwe exemption permit has raised a whole lot of conversation across the country.
We would recall that the South African government implemented a further six-month extension, until December 31, 2023, for Zimbabwean nationals who are holders of expired Zimbabwe Exemption Permits (ZEP) to remain in South Africa; the program was previously only extended until June 30, 2023.
Though the Department of Home Affairs stated that their had to extend the ZEP initiative deadline in order to give beneficiaries the opportunity to apply for other forms of permit.
In an emerging report, an illegal Zimbabwean lady who calls herself Cornelia Chimalizeni is currently live on TikTok being excited that she is at the office of Home Affairs Department to collect her ID, she’s also encouraging her fellow Zimbabwean foreigners to apply for South African ID in order to legalize their stay in South Africa.
It is shocking to see how South Africa is sold to illegal foreigners by Home Affairs. This is unlawfully giving free citizenships to illegal foreigners.
Many South Africans have reacted to the newest report by Cornelia as their call on the Government to end whatever procedure being undertaken to further elongate the stay of over 180,000 beneficiaries of Zimbabwe exemption permit.
