Leaders from the North of Rift Valley region now say that anti government demonstrations and protests by the opposition headed by Raila Odinga are the root cause of current economic crisis and high cost of living in the country. The leaders further stressed that the civil disobedience announced by opposition leader earlier in the week is meant for economic sabotage.
Moreover, one of the leaders said that instead of the opposition encouraging their supporters to go to the farm they are asking them to continuously protest which will see destruction of everything. He further added that, those who went to the farm will soon reap after plants mature.
The north Rift Valley region heads also said that the higher taxes imposed are necessary to stabilize government finances for services delivery.
