There was laughter in parliament on Thursday after Mumias East MP Peter Salasya got excited after Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi promised him a free chopper ride to Busia.

This was after the first time MP asked CS Linturi who appeared before National Assembly to answer questions from legislators to consider including him in his visit to Busia for an agricultural trip.

MP Salasya said that he was part of the parliamentary committee on agriculture and deemed it fit to accompany the CS to Busia since he was the one who pushed for the meeting in the region.

“I just want to thank Agriculture CS for responding and coming up with the necessary action. Being a member of the Agriculture Committee, I am so proud of what he is undertaking and I think the CS should invite to that meeting in Busia so that the people can know that I brought you the message and you have acted on it,” stated Salasia
