Bill Nass rubbishes claims he fathered Hamisa Mobetto’s son

Tanzanian musician William Nicholaus alias Bill Nass, has come forward to deny rumours that he is the father of singer Hamissa Mobetto’s son, Dylan.

In a recent interview with Wasafi Media, Bill Nass shed light on their relationship, stating that they were close friends and mentors to each other, but there was no romantic involvement.

Mimi sijawaikuwa na mahusiano na Hamisa, ilitokea kuna wakati tulikuwa na urafiki sana, tukawa tunacommentiana, tunashauriana, ilikua ni urafiki tu, hakukua na jambo lolote, tulikutana sisi tukiwa na shida, kwa hivyo tukawa marafiki,” he said.

Loosely translated, “I have never been in a romantic relationship with Hamisa. There was a time when we were very good friends, we used to comment on each other’s posts, and give each other advice; it was just a friendship, there was nothing more to it. We met when both of us were going through some difficulties, so we became friends.”

Furthermore, Bill Nass expressed his concern about the ongoing rumours affecting Hamissa Mobetto’s image and even impacting Dylan, who is widely known to be Diamond Platnumz’s son. He emphasized that he is not the father of the child as he met Hamissa when she already had her two kids.

Loosely translated, “In fact, the child doesn’t concern me in one way or another because when we met, she already had her two children. So, she already had kids even before I met and got to know her for the first time.”

Diamond snubs Dylan’s birthday

On the other hand, Diamond Platnumz, father of Hamissa Mobetto’s eldest child, Tiffah, in a past event made headlines for celebrating his daughter’s birthday with a grand party and announcing her as the heir to his vast empire.

However, he was notably absent from Dylan’s birthday celebration, sparking rumours of being a “deadbeat dad” to his youngest child.

In August 2022, Dylan’s mother, Hamissa Mobetto, expressed her confusion about Diamond’s decision to skip their son’s birthday celebration.

Kusema ukweli sifahamu kwa nini nadhani hilo swali ni vizuri sana akiulizwa yeye mwenyewe binafsi mi ntakua sina majibu na mi si mtu ambaye anauliza nadhani ni maamuzi tu mtu unaamka tu asubuhi unaamua,” she said.

Loosely translated, “To tell the truth, I don’t know why I think that question is very good when asked to oneself personally. I wouldn’t have answers, and I’m not the type of person who asks; I think it’s just a matter of waking up in the morning and deciding.”

Later in September, during a discussion with Wasafi FM presenter Baba Levo, Hamissa hinted that Diamond may not be fulfilling his fatherly duties towards Dylan.

However, when Baba Levo suggested that Diamond was financially supporting her, she dismissed the claims, leaving the matter unanswered.

Hamisa slams rumour that Bill Nass is the father

The controversy surrounding Dylan’s paternity reached new heights in December 2022 when social media in Tanzania was flooded with claims that Bill Nas, who is married to Tanzanian singer Nandy, might be the biological father.

Photo comparisons of Bill Nas and Dylan were circulated, fueling the speculations. Hamissa Mobetto took to her Instagram account to vehemently deny the rumours and expressed her frustration at people discussing her young son’s paternity.

Yani sipendi mtu aongelee mtoto wangu. Sipendi! Sipendi na Sipendi tena jamani. Na wala sijawahi elewa watu wazima wanakaaje chini wanaanza kumuongelea mtoto wa miaka mitano kama walikuwepo wakati anapatikana,” she ranted.

Loosely translated, “I don’t like it when people talk about my child. I really don’t like it at all. I don’t understand why adults sit together and start discussing a five-year-old child as if they were present when the child was born.”

As of now, Diamond Platnumz has not publicly addressed the paternity claims, leaving the situation in the realm of speculation and rumours.
