The NARC Kenya Party leader Martha Karua was today expected to lead demonstrations in Mt Kenya region, specifically in Kirinyaga County. Unfortunately, only few people came out for the demonstrations and they are less than 100. Martha Karua has been trying to take over the leadership of Mt Kenya region but seemingly, she doesn’t have people behind her.

Martha Karua efforts to mobilize Mt Kenya region has remained difficult especially given the fact that most of the people voted for president William Ruto in the August 9th polls. It’s only today that the former Laikipia Governor Nderitu Muriithi was chased away in Nyahururu.
Martha Karua mobilizing skills has been extremely poor and it’s indeed clear that her efforts to ensure people support the Azimio course has remained difficult. Kalonzo and Raila are leading demonstrations separately and they have remained peaceful.
Azimio leaders are trying to ensure demonstrations happen across the country but it’s becoming hard and difficult. It’s however a wait and see issue of what become of Azimio given the prevailing political circumstances.
