Plus-size Sports Illustrated model Hunter McGrady says she’s proud of her body amid ‘weird Ozempic era’ among celebs

Hunter McGrady is proud of her body and believes that sexy comes in all sizes.

The 31-year-old Sports Illustrated model, who recently raved about her husband’s heroic bust of a “pedophile” in the sky, opened her eyes to Fox news about her hopes for body inclusivity as she celebrated her latest cover for the magazine.

She explained that it took her a long time to love her curves and learn to deal with all body types.

“A lot of it comes from the fact that I was 15 years old and started out as a regular-size model,” she told the outlet. “I was a size 10.”

“I was striving for something I couldn’t achieve. Once I understood that this wasn’t going to be my journey, I let myself live and be happy. I grew into the person I am today. I’m proud of my body and what it’s done for me,” she said.

The Model Citizen podcast co-host also explained that she’s looking forward to celebrating all bodies, amid Hollywood’s “weird” craze for weight-loss drugs like Ozempic.

“I still believe that sexy comes in all sizes,” she said. “But I had to work on myself first. It’s a journey to get there. I’m not saying I don’t have bad days, because I do. We’re all human.

“I think what Sports Illustrated is doing — celebrating all bodies — is so powerful. They’re doing the work… Especially as we go into this weird era, an Olympic era, and just celebrating thinness,” she added.

The blonde beauty then stressed how important it is to accept models not only of different shapes and sizes, but women of all ethnicities.

“Look, do what you want to do with your body, but I also think it’s so important to show diversity, different body types, different ethnicities, different types of women. We all exist, and we’ll always be just as important,” she cheered.

McGrady explained that through several therapy sessions, she learned to accept and love her body more.

As for how she keeps haters at bay, the cover girl said standing up to body shamers and online negativity has helped her.

“It’s all about self-love,” she said. “Everyone has their bad days. Self-confidence is not linear. It’s a climb. You think you’re at the top, and then you get knocked down and you don’t feel so great. But it’s all about the work,” she began.

“A lot of people in our society think, ‘All I have to do is lose weight, and then I’ll feel better, and then I can get into that swimsuit.’ You can lose as much weight as you want, you can gain as much weight as you want. You can get anything done. But if you don’t practice self-love, then none of it will matter,” she explained.

“It has to start with the way we look at ourselves,” Hunter added. “I’m a firm believer in that.”

In June 2019, she married Chicago Justice actor Brian Keys, whom she met over three years earlier via Snapchat.

The famous couple now have a son, Hudson Tynan, three, and a daughter, Ava Bryn, one.
