Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that South African celebrities, Pearl Thusi and Sello Maake Ncube, were paid R1M each to support Zanu PF and Emmerson Mnangagwa in Zimbabwe.
Taking to DM, a source revealed that Zimbabwean govt reportedly paid Sello Maake Ncube and Pearl Thusi over R1M to show support for the party in Zimbabwe.
“Sello Maake Ncube and Pearl Thusi are being paid over one million rand to appear in Zimbabwe and show support to the government oppressing its people,” the source tells Kossyderrickent.

The group of journalists and celebrities are in Zimbabwe as part of a public relations exercise organised by the Zimbabwean government. The exercise is called ‘The True Zimbabwe Tour’ and it aims to showcase the achievements and progress made by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration since winning the elections in 2018. The tour also aims to highlight the potential and opportunities that Zimbabwe offers for tourism, trade, and investment.

Thusi was slammed by the people of Zimbabwe for accepting an offer from the govt.
“Celebrities are so shameless bruh! Act like they want nothing to do with corrupt governments but they turn blind eye when it’s time for gigs. What truth will Pearl Thusi tell about Zimbabwe? Only going to read a Zanupf script, so detached from Zimbabweans on the ground,” a tweet read.
“Pearl Thusi can’t tell Zimbabweans the true Zimbabwe because they live there and know it , she can’t tell South Africans about the True Zimbabwe because they see the number of Zimbabweans in their country.”
