Two couples who randomly met on vacation reunite and go on another raucous adventure in the new trailer for Vacation Friends 2.
John Cena – who made headlines for opening up about being homeless after first moving to Los Angeles in the 1990s – returns as Ron, alongside Meredith Hagner as his on-screen wife Kyle, alongside Lil Rel Howrey and Yvonne Orji as Marcus and Emily.
The comedy is a follow-up to 2021’s Vacation Friends, where the wild Ron and Kyla extend their hospitality (and their luxury suite) to the straight-laced Marcus and Emily, after Marcus pops the question to Emily.
The sequel is set just a few months after the original – with both couples newly married – as Marcus and Emily return the favor to Ron and Kyla when he invites them to an all-expenses-paid trip to a Caribbean resort.
While Marcus is there on business, the trip slowly devolves into chaos as Kyla’s ex-con father Reese (Steve Buscemi) arrives.

The trailer begins with an aerial shot of the resort, as Marcus tells Emily, ‘I told you, I’m on vacation. When I’m on vacation, I’m a just float.’
Emily embraces her husband, when the moment is tarnished by Kyla announcing on the loudspeaker, ‘Marcus and Emily Parker: You have failed to notify your airline that you are registered sex offenders,’ as Marcus and Emily finally see Ron and Kyla.
‘What the hell is wrong with y’all,’ Marcus says while walking up to them, while later Ron says, ‘Look at us, together again!’
Marcus explains, ‘We just wanted to give you guys a real honeymoon,’ while a woman approaches Ron and Kyla with their baby.
‘I just found this, crawling under our table,’ as Ron and Kyla both shout, ‘He’s crawling?!’
‘It’s your first time!’ Kyla says, taking her baby from the stranger, while Ron marvels, ‘He’s a prodigy! It’s amazing!’
Ron and Kyla take a look at he resort for the first time, as Ron says, ‘What the hell are they doing letting us in a place this NICE?!’
Kyla asks Marcus, ‘How the HELL did you get us in here?’ Meanwhile, on the plane, Emily asks Marcus, ‘You didn’t tell them?

Marcus explains, ‘They’re gonna be long gone by the time I get into my work thing, though that plan backfires.
While hanging out by the pool, a Japanese businessman approaches Marcus, telling him the schedule has changed, inviting both couples to drinks.
‘Guys, I need you to be really cool. Can you do that?’ Marcus asks, as they show a quick-cut montage of several drinks being drunk… and even a bizarre straw scene.
Kyla responds, ‘Look who you’re talking to. When have we ever not been cool?’ while another surprise is sprung: Kyla’s father Reese arriving.
‘Literally just released from San Quentin,’ Kyla says, as Marcus and Emily aren’t sure how to respond.
Later, Reese tells Kyla, ‘I got you literally the best wedding present,’ as he drops a large bag of powder of some kind… which Kyla immediately thinks is cocaine.
‘Why does this coke not taste cokey?’ Kyla asks, as Reese answers, ‘Because it’s your mom,’ as Ron says, ‘You just snorted your mom?’
‘It’s really kind of beautiful if you think about it,’ Kyla says, as we hear Ron saying, ‘This is not how I pictured things going at all.’
Work thing: Marcus explains, ‘They’re gonna be long gone by the time I get into my work thing, though that plan backfires
Just released: ‘Literally just released from San Quentin,’ Kyla says, as Marcus and Emily aren’t sure how to respond
The trailer shows another shot where mysterious gunmen are driving next to them and shooting at their car.
Ron tells Kyla, ‘Ever since he showed up he turned this relaxing family vacation into total chaos. Who does that?’ Emily shoots Marcus a glance after Ron says that.
The trailer winds down with a number of other shots including a truck being rolled, as Ron and Marcus try surfing a huge wave… which doesn’t go well for Marcus.
Marcus ends up on the beach, as the surf instructor says, ‘I’ve never seen that much water come out of a person before.’
Marcus asks if he, ‘threw up a lot,’ as Ron tactfully tells him, ‘Your butthole threw up, bud,’ as the trailer comes to an end.
