ANC veteran, Tony Yengeni has applauded for minister Dlamini-Zuma. He said she spoke well like a real leader. The ANC veteran gave a speech at the BRICS political parties dialogue which is being held in Boksburg.
The minister took swipe at the big five banks in the world, she accused them of imposing strict conditions on developing countries. She said South Africa is forced to kneel before these banks.
These utterances led Tony Yengeni to state that the ANC veteran has spoken like a true leader. He said unlike others, the minister does not try to hide facts, but speaks truth to power without fear.
“Nkosazana spoke very well like a real leader and revolutionary. No obfuscation no, generalising empty political rhetoric,” said Tony Yengeni.
The minister has always been regarded as a fearless leader. Her stance resonates with many who want to see African countries breaking free from the world’s largest banks. This is because of their strict conditions.
“The greater concentration of banking to the big five has clearly undermined accountability, hindered development, stifled competition and passed on the cost burden to citizens,” said the ANC veteran, Dlamini-Zuma.
The BRICS summit will be held in South Africa this coming August. There has been a debate about whether Russian President Vladimir Putin must be allowed to attend or not, given that there is a warrant of arrest for him which was issued by the International Criminal Court.
Economic Freedom Fighters member of parliament, Mzwanele Manyi while reacting to this, said no one is going to arrest Putin when he comes to South Africa in August for the summit.
“Mr President. We, the overwhelming majority of the people of South Africa, are looking forward to welcoming you into our country in August 2023. No one will touch you,” said the EFF member of parliament, Mzwanele Manyi.
