Former Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star Londie London has broken her silence about her absence from the season three cast of the beloved reality TV series. In a candid interview on the Podcast and Chill with MacG and Sol Phenduka, the singer shared her suspicions that her exit was orchestrated by someone behind the scenes.
Londie London, who was a fan favorite during the second season of the Showmax Original series set in Durban, left viewers puzzled when the third season cast was announced in January 2023, and her name was notably absent from the list. Instead, she made brief appearances in only two episodes.
Explaining the situation, Showmax’s Senior Manager of Reality and Entertainment Local Channels, Lerato Moruti, had stated that Londie had relocated to Johannesburg, while other returning cast members like MaKhumalo and LaConco had secured new hosting roles on different reality shows.
However, Londie London hinted at a more intricate story. During the podcast interview, she stated, “There were also some complications.” She went on to express her suspicion that someone may have played a role in her departure, saying, “I don’t know the truth, but it felt like someone, there was a voice there at the back that was paid for me to not be there.”
When the podcast hosts repeated her claim, Londie confirmed it, emphasizing that the situation had left everyone baffled. She shared that initially, she was informed she would be featured in six episodes but was later informed that her appearances would be reduced. She believes these changes were related to her relationship with her ex-fiancé and the father of her two children, Hlubi Nkosi, which had ended in April 2022.
