Julius Malema has come under fire for his attendance at the Hollywoodbets Durban July event as well as a purported R2 million watch he allegedly wore.
The EFF leader and his husband attended the race day event over the weekend as guests at the Opulent Experience Marquee.
However, the outspoken lawmaker is being called out on Twitter by detractors for being a “hypocrite.”
Julius Malema was pictured at the Hollywoodbets Durban July sporting a dapper black suit and a big bow tie. He added a high-end watch for a dash of extravagance.
Nevertheless, a Twitter user who was there at the great racing event took issue with the politician’s display of wealth.
After Malema criticized ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula for wearing a similarly pricey watch, the tweep labeled Malema a “hypocrite” and accused him of being insincere.
