Speaking in an exclusive Interviews with a local media house on Friday, 30, June 2023, Omole noted that for now there will be no any handshake between the two leaders who have been involved in a political fight since Ruto was declared the President elect.

According to him, For now Ruto feels that everything is going on well and his presidency has been Legitimised hence no need to have a handshake with Raila.

Further, he noted that the head of state still feels that he is popular and would not need any support from his rival the former prime minister.654c058dab6347ac86cda0af5ac90853?quality=uhq&resize=720

However, he noted that when Ruto will feel threatened especially after being unpopular, he will then need the former prime minister and will be the first one to call him for a handshake.

According to him, at that time Ruto will be forced to look for Raila due to the unfavourable situation, a trend he says is very common in politics.

“The people in power only change things when they are forced to. President Ruto will never shake Raila’s hand when he thinks that the majority of Kenyans support him, but the day he loses the majority he will be the first to call Raila.” He said.

On the Finance act, he asked Kenyans to stand up and reject Government’s bid to increase taxes which will make life harder for them.

Omole argued that for now no one will come to the rescue of Kenyans and they should fight on their own failure to which Government will take advantage of them

He noted that the effect of the Finance act will be directly felt by Kenyans themselves hence need to stand up and fight for themselves.
