United Democratic Alliance UDA is the party President William Samoei Ruto used in 2022 on August 9 to win the presidential election.
It has been confirmed that the party will be in Kisii County tomorrow Monday 3rd July. According to UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala, the UDA party team will hold a delegates meeting and member recruitment exercise.
Those leaders expected to attend the meeting from the region include, UDA Treasurer and Member of Parliament Hon. Japhet Nyakundi, Chief Whip and MP Silvanus Osoro, Senator Essie Okenyuri, MP Alfa Miruka, MP Zaheer Jhanda, Senator Gloria Orwoba, Former Kisii County Governor James Ongwae among many other leaders.
I ask those who will be involved in the exercise to do it peacefully. Remember this region has been known to be dominated by Raila Amollo Odinga’s ODM for many years.
