Uhuru Kenyatta has finally broken his silence and revealed what led to the falling out with his deputy William Ruto in 2017.
According to the former head of state, all problems arose immediately after the 2017 elections.
“It all started after the 2017 General Election,” Uhuru told the journalists at his office on Monday.
Uhuru said that his then deputy wanted them to go after the opposition leader Raila Odinga idea which I did not lean on. But instead, he told Ruto that he had to bring peace among Kenyans first.
“Dr Ruto wanted us to go after Mr Odinga and his opposition clique ruthlessly, but I refused. I told him my priority at the time was the unity of Kenyans, and that going after the political class would fracture the nation.” He possed.
The former president Uhuru was saying this after her mother’s security was called off duties and the raid by the police officers at his sons residence in Karen last Friday.
