Azimio leaders Address media Ahead of Rally.

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition led by Raila Odinga is holding the second mass actions after the passing of the 2023/2024 finance bill. The very first was the Sabasaba demos which were held on 7th of July 2023.

Running battles and arrests have been the order of the day in areas where the protests have been held across the country.

Reports say that Raila has been meeting other Azimio party leaders including Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa and Martha Karua.

Anti-riot Police officers have reportedly been forced to quickly act to quell morning protests that have been witnessed in Nairobi Town, Nairobi County today, Wednesday 12th July 2023.

Before the protests began, Raila had called on Kenyan to awaken the spirit of fighting oppressive regimes as they have done in the past.

President William Ruto yesterday assured Kenyans that there will be peace in the country today when the Azimio la Umoja coalition is expected to continue with anti-government protests.12863a29c82f43c3b611942cbaa9e925?quality=uhq&resize=720

Thousands joined sabasaba marches over the past week against high living costs and alleged fraud in last year’s vote. All have been marred by violence and a second rally was scheduled for Wednesday.

The Azimio leader Raila Odinga is expected to hold demonstrations today and that’s why police officers have remained vigilant to avoid creating a chaotic scene in the country. It’s not clear of why the bus was carrying several wrapped guns and the exact motive.
