Nigerian Presidential Election Loser Mocked, Reminded What he Said When Raila Lost to Ruto

Nigerian politician Peter Obi has found himself on the receiving end after the Nigerian Presidential Election Tribunal upheld President Bola Tinubu’s win.

Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had asked the court to invalidate the election, alleging irregularities.

This is after Tinubu defeated both of them in the recent presidential election, with the court dismissing their irregularity claims and allegations that Tinubu was not eligible to run for the presidency at all.

This has impressed ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale, who finds it funny that Obi, who was recently happy with the courts for upholding President William Ruto’s win, has failed to secure the same for himself.

He has recalled how Obi was happy when the Supreme Court ruled against ODM boss Raila Odinga, saying that he is now dealing with the same.

Obi had congratulated Ruto both after his win and after the validation of his win. This was after Raila moved to court to challenge his (Ruto) win on rigging claims.

“I join the lovers of democracy worldwide to congratulate Mr William Ruto on his emergence as Kenya’s President-elect. It is indeed a victory for democracy and the people of Kenya,” Obi said in his first tweet on August 21, 2022.

“I congratulate Kenyan DP William Ruto on the Supreme Court verdict upholding his victory in the presidential elections. He has achieved a great feat and victory, both at the polls and in the courts,” he said in a separate tweet on September 5, 2022.
