Recently the country has been witnessing a bunch of scathing attacks towards the media particularly from the Kenya Kwanza, after an expose done by NTV whereby the Ministry of Trade and Investments headed by CS Moses Kuria was implicated in an edible oil scam that saw Kenya Taxpayers lose approximately KES6 Billion.
Since then, most Kenya Kwanza leaders starting from President William Ruto, Rigathi Gachagua and ML Kimani Ichungwah have shown support to Moses Kuria and have been constantly labeling the media as biased in its publications.
Today while speaking on his youtube channel, political analyst Herman Manyora has asked specifically the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to leave alone the media because it can do him very bad, if they want to. He stated that the DP should just remain silent and never hit back on the media.
He likened the media to police who will no matter what you say against them, find anything to pin you down. Manyora stated that the media are in possession of lots of information that many people do not know and if they want to destroy your image, they will, by feeding the public the critical info that will indeed tarnish a name.
Manyora also advised the DP if he is to fight the media, he should not do so publicly, but resort to other unseen means that can limit the media from accessing particular benefits without everyone knowing it.
