Azimio la Umoja One Kénya Alliance brigade on Saturday toured Vihiga County where they attended the burial Ceremony of victims of the anti-government protests. The event took place in Luanda, Vihiga County.
The vocal leader of the opposition was accompanied by his close allies including Jubilee party Secretary General Hon Jeremiah Kioni, Mama Idah Odinga, Eugene Wamalwa, and MP Millie Odhiambo among other leaders.
While addressing residents of Vihiga county, former Ndaragwa constituency Member of Parliament Hon Jeremiah Kioni informed Mt Kénya residents that they dug their own graves after voting for President William Samoei Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration.
Jeremiah Kioni said that President Ruto has turned his back on the Mt Kenya region as he cannot address their demands. He said that the Mt Kenya region wants the one man one vote one shilling revenue-sharing formula to be implemented but currently, Ruto does not want to hear such proposals.
The former lawmaker stated that the Mt Kénya region has currently dug their own grave and they cannot get out of it. Kioni further wanted the Western Kenya residents not to fall into the trap of President Ruto the way Mt Kénya region was swayed.
He also asked the Western Kenya region to stick with Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga because he will continue fighting for their rights going forward.
