Kikuyu Constituency member of parliament Hon Kimani Ichungwah on 25th July at night resurfaced online with a bold reaction hours after President William Ruto offered to meet Raila Odinga face to face tomorrow.
Speaking via his official twitter handle, Kimani Ichungwah who is a key critic of Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition claimed that everybody now wants to meet the head of state.
According to Kimani Ichungwah, there is some progress considering the fact that former prime minister didn’t even want to shake hands with Ruto eleven months ago.
Ichungwah as well castigated Raila Odinga for interfering with ministry of foreign affairs following his allegations that state didn’t want to meet Tanzania president Samia Suluhu.
“Now @WilliamsRuto, Suddenly everyone wants to meet with you , even the one who 11-months ago didn’t even want to shake your hand nor talk to you now wants to & calls you “his President”he wrote.
” It is well,some progress.Happy that Baba has recovered from the flu but when did he start working at Ministry of foreign affairs or as statehouse spokesperson?”, He added.
His statement comes off in line with Ruto’s offer to Raila Odinga where he accepted to meet him in order to end their rivalry for the growth of the country.
Besides, Kakamega senator Dr Boni Khalwale as well reacted to president William Ruto’s statement.
However reacting to Ichungwah’s sentiment, kenyans expressed their views via their official twitter handles as follows;
Njirungi: Your hardline stance has paid off. Do not bow down to that bondo fellow. Since 1997 he’s always made elections in Kenya look like they’re nonsensical just because they don’t favour him. Don’t surrender anything, niwaigua, not even an inch of the government.
Abira: No time for flashback and revenge sir,let the government focus on issues affecting its people. I believe you will be one of the most productive government if you do so.
