The political landscape of Kenya has always been dynamic, with shifting alliances and changing ideologies. One such shift has been witnessed in the case of Pius Kinuthia, who once ardently supported the Azimio movement but has now pledged his allegiance to the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

With his new stance, Kinuthia has become increasingly vocal about the inconsistencies he perceives in the Azimio faction.

A point of contention that has been at the forefront of Kinuthia’s criticisms is Azimio’s refusal to recognize Dr. William Ruto as the legitimate President of Kenya. This denial is particularly perplexing for many, including Kinuthia, given that both the electoral commission and the esteemed Supreme Court validated Ruto’s victory.

In a recent tweet, Kinuthia raised some pressing questions regarding the legitimacy of this assertion by Azimio.

Kinuthia further delves into the inconsistency by pointing out Azimio’s apparent paradox. Despite their refusal to recognize Ruto as the President, the Azimio movement seems eager for Bipartisan talks. “Azimio’s repeated and deliberate assertion that they don’t recognize President Ruto as the legitimate President must not be tolerated. For why are they so desperate for Bipartisan Talks with an illegitimate government?” He stated.

The blogger urges Azimio to reflect on their actions and intentions, and that if they are truly committed to the betterment of the country and see the value in Bipartisan talks, then it’s crucial for them to acknowledge and respect the democratic process that brought Ruto to power, and recognize him as President.

Kinuthia further warns that undermining a democratically elected leader can set a dangerous precedent. It not only erodes the trust in institutions but also threatens the very fabric of democracy that Kenya has worked hard to build.

Martha Karua, and Kalonzo have been on record declaring that the opposition cannot recognize Ruto as legitimately elected President, until auditing of the IEBC servers for the 2022 elections are conducted to proof that indeed Ruto won.
