Today in the morning, details have emerged on a meeting between president William Samoe Ruto and one of the Mount Kenya governors few hours to cabinet reshuffle.
As reported by the Kenyans.co.ke, Ruto yesterday in the evening held a meeting with the embattled governor of Meru county hon Kawira Mwangaza at State house, Nakuru county. Reports says that this meeting was also attended by the Meru MCAs and other local leaders. However, what was discussed and agreed during this meeting has not been revealed.
This meeting came in few hours before governor Kawira Mwangaza came out to make some changes on her cabinet. Reports says that Mwangaza gave a leave to some ministers who leaked some sensitive information on what has been happening in the county. Among the information leaked some few weeks ago includes the companies that has been receiving some money from the county.
“Kawira Mwangaza sent the Chief Officer in charge of Roads, Mr George Kimathi, on compulsory leave as investigations into the leakage commence. Charles Mwenda was transferred to the water department from the Finance docket in the recent changes.” Says the report.
