Azimio One Kenya leader Raila Odinga has made last minute tactical changes on bipartisan team after claims of sidelining vast Mt Kenya region.
In the new changes, Jubilee SG Jeremiah Kioni has landed a slot in the talk as the head of legal and technical team.
Raila announced that Kalonzo would lead the dialogue team while Kioni would lead the legal and technical team.
Raila’s changes comes after Ruto’s allies politicized Azimio team saying they abandoned Mt Kenya.
Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi during 5-days Mt Kenya rally argued that the Azimio committee had sidelined Mt.Kenya leaders from the talks because of ‘their interests’.
” There are those saying they want inclusivity in the committee.If they really wanted it, why have they excluded Mt Kenya from the committee? They have another agenda,” Mudavadi said.
The opposition last week indicated that the talks should be conducted within the next 30 days.
A section of Azimio leaders from Mt Kenya region on Tuesday termed President William Ruto’s development tour of the Central region a ‘publicity stunt’.
Addressing the press Tuesday, the leaders who included Martha Karua, Peter Munya and Jeremiah Kioni claimed Ruto was touring the region to try and redeem his image.
