Kenyans Advised Who to Put in Power After Removing Ruto From State House

Kenyans have no business retaining President William Ruto in office as their leader, Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo has said.

He says that Ruto has already confirmed that he is unable to lead, and it is time Kenyans said no and told him to leave and handed power to someone else.

He has cited the corruption that remains an issue and Ruto’s inability to keep his promises, claiming that Kenya is being run by a fraudulent administration.

The lawmaker, a member of the Azimio La Umoja coalition, says that Kenyans, therefore, must kick Ruto out and put in someone that will fight for them.

He has also said that Kenyans have no issue being taxed, only that they see their money being misused, hence their opposition to the new taxes.

Kenyans elected a Parliament that has turned out to be fraudulent thus, they must arise and bring in a gov’t that is for the people. The current government is being run by fraudsters,” he said in an interview on Citizen TV on Thursday morning.

He has also thrown his weight behind Azimio’s plan to force Ruto to drop the Finance Bill, which he has since signed into law, endorsing Azimio boss Raila Odinga’s civil disobedience proposal.

For Maanzo, Ruto is being unreasonable with his moves and there is therefore nothing wrong with what Raila has proposed.

“When a law becomes unreasonable or unfair, civil disobedience is the way to go. Raila Odinga is just giving solutions to Kenyans so that they avoid being overtaxed,” the parliamentarian further stated.

Interestingly, among the Members of Parliament who passed the bill in parliament were those elected through Azimio. The backers of the new taxes have cited the need for Kenya to avoid debts and loans.
