A few weeks ago, Kitui East Constituency member of parliament Hon Nimrod Mbai found himself in trouble after he was captured assaulting a Kenya Power Official who had gone to his home to disconnect Ilegally connected power.

In the video, the member of parliament was captured hurling insults at the officials who had gone for the Operations, he then resorted to beating one of them and even attempted to drwaw his gun. The video went viral attracting condemnations from Kenyans
The member of parliament was then arrested, questioned and released but on Monday, the Lawmaker was summoned by the Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission to be questioned further about the incident in which he was accused of having power connected without the authority of the Kenya Power and Lighting company.
However, the United Democratic Alliance Party member of parliament member of parliament denied assaulting the KPLC official claiming that he completely has got no knowledge about the incident.
The Lawmaker alleged that the video in which he was captured physically beating the official had been doctored and whoever was captured in the video was not him.
He claimed that he is a pastor who can not resort to physical assaults as shown in the video that went viral on social media pages.

The MP was spoke outside EACC offices after he was grilled by the investigative agency.
EACC Chief Executive Officer Twalib Mbarak who spoke after the member of parliament appeared in his office, condemned his behaviour calling on Kenyans to choose their leaders wisely.
The member of parliament’s claims come even after Kenya Power and Lighting company disconnected the power that led to confrontations.
