The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition wing have today announced their decision to embark on a signature collection that will force President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza regime out of power.
The opposition wing made the revelation in a five point resolution reached by the Azimio wing during the Kamukunji rally today.
In the list of resolutions read by former CS Eugene Wamalwa, the Azimio wing said that there will be no more bipartisan talks with the Kenya Kwanza wing because of the high punitive taxes imposed on Kenyans through the Finance Bill.
Below are the five resolutions that were reached by the opposition wing during the Kamukunji rally.
1. From today, we embark on campaign on defiance including refusal to pay taxes whose aim is to force Mr. Ruto’s punitive regime to go home.
2. Shall convene on the seventh day of July, a SabaSaba day , to force the Kenya Kwanza regime to go home.
Wamalwa said that the constitution give the people the power to exercise their power whenever they feel that the government is leading them in the wrong direction.
3. We will embark on a signature collection to signal the withdrawal of Ruto and all the leaders who supported the Finance Bill 2023.
4. We will recognize and appreciate the efforts that Members of the civil society are making to free Kenya from the bad rule of the Kenya Kwanza regime.
Wamalwa said that they will seek a collaboration with the civil society so that they can join hands in fighting for the rights of Kenyans.
5. The Azimio wing also condemned President William Ruto and his regime for the lack of respect to the media.
