The Raila Odinga led Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition is currently experiencing some crisis just days after rolling out the members that will represent it in the bipartisan talks with President Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza team.
After the former Ndaragwa legislator Honourable Jeremiah Kioni and the NARC party leader Martha Karua missing out in the Azimio’s team,a lot of members from the political class have raised eyebrows noting that the Mt Kenya region has been sidelined by the Azimio team.
Prior to this, the Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai who is a stounch ODM Party member noted that there’s need for ODM to have more representation in the talks alleging it has more delegates compared to other parties in the coalition. This sentiments caused a lot of tension in the team as others called on party affiliates to ignore but focus on the agendas of the coalition.

In response to this, the embattled Jubilee secretary general honourable Jeremiah Kioni in an interview with Kenyans.co.ke on the future of the Jubilee party fired at the Kileleshwa MCA over his recent sentiments as equating him with the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua.

Kioni stressed that, “I don’t want to talk about Alai because I put Alai and (deputy president Rigathi Gachagua) in the same basket, Gachagua if you are not a shareholder, you will have to wait until it’s your turn.”
The former legislator made this statement amid president Ruto’s tour to the Mt Kenya region where he is expected to launch various projects within the region.

In regards to this, Kioni also blasted allegations of Jubilee party siding with President Ruto’s team stressing that the party is strongly attached to the opposition, the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition.
