Taita Taveta Woman Representative Lydia Haika has revealed that she was the first to visit MP Charity Kathambi when doctors announced the death of her husband something that broke her heart.
Speaking during the funeral service of late David Chepkwony husband to Njoro MP Charity Kathambi, MP Haika admitted that Kathambi after receiving the heartbreaking news she turned to her and asked on what she could do and what widows usually do after losing their loved husbands. Haika gathered courage and requested her to only depend on God because He knows why the late had to die at that time when the family needed him most.
“Nakumbuka nilikuwa nakuja kusimama na wewe bwanako akiwa mgonjwa lakini nikapata ndio tu dakatari alikuwa amekupea habari ya kufa kwa bwana wako. Mimi nilichanganyikiwa lakini nikamwambia Mungu amekuwa alisimama na wewe na Mungu ataendelea kusimama na wewe kila wakati na huyu Mungu endelea kumtegemea kila wakati na atakueka salama,” MP Haika said.
It is an emotional moment in Njoro as the area MP Charity Kathambi is witnessing the funeral service of her husband as she has been joined by very many political leaders including President Ruto and Dp Gachagua among others.
