United Democratic Alliance, (UDA) party diehard and a former member of the Kenyan Parliament representing the nominated seats for persons with disabilities, Isaac mwaura has made his utterances pertaining appointment of the 50 Cabinet Administrative Secretaries (CAS’s) under William Ruto’s administration. According to Mwaura, failing to appoint the Cabinet Administrative Secretaries by a court ruling will not by any chance lower the cost of living in Kenya.
Mwaura reinstated that the main purpose of having cabinet administrative secretaries is to provide administrative support and coordination within the government. He further added that CAS are responsible for managing the administrative functions of the cabinet, assisting with policy implementation, and ensuring effective communication between government departments.
Mwaura cited increased number of cabinet administrative secretaries in William Ruto’s administration, compared to Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration, saying that the increment can improve coordination and communication among government departments, as with more secretaries, each can focus on specific portfolios, ensuring efficient management and implementation of policies.
Mwaura urged Kenyans it’s important to note that increasing the number of cabinet administrative secretaries also entails financial considerations, as it involves additional costs in terms of salaries, benefits, and administrative infrastructure, but the significance increments for just fifty people in top government position will not have any impact to the economy, whether they are appointed or not.
