A photo of president William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua has emerged online and raised some questions. The photo captures president William Ruto alighting from the Kenya Defense Forces chopper while Gachagua was waiting for him. A red carpet had been laid for the president to walk on as he arrived for the special event.
Kenyans were however quick to notice that the deputy president was not using the red carpet which he should use like his boss. Kimani Wanjenga said that Gachagua was very respectful to the president that he never stepped on the red carpet when he is with Ruto.
“DP is a very respectful person. Have observed that he rarely steps on red carpet when H.E.Ruto is with him.” Kimani said.
A few people supported him saying they had also observed the same from the past. One person said that the respect Gachagua has for Ruto will make him president one day.
