Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha has promised to crash cartels at KEMSA and NHIF in the coming days as Government Intensifies fight against corrupt in health sector.
Speaking in a fund raising ceremony for a local hospital, the cabinet secretary vowed to deal with anyone irrespective of their statuses in the society.
Her remarks came just days after she fired a section of NHIF Branch bosses after an exposé done by a local media house over how Hospitals have been getting excess money from NHIF
The promise also comes just months after the cabinet secretary disbanded the board of the National Hospital Insurance Fund where a number were sent home.

However, the remarks by the Cabinet Secretary has not gone well with City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi.
Taking to his official social media pages, the City lawyer noted that the cabinet secretary should not be making such remarks and threats considering that she holds the highest position in the health sector.
Ahmednasir argued that for a cabinet secretary who is in a position of authority to make such remarks it would mean that she is incompetent and clueless.
He also noted that maybe the cabinet secretary is yet to decide on which cartel she will deal with
“If you hear someone in a position of authority in Kenya blaming “cartels” for the rot/corruption in his area of jurisdiction, then that blame game tell you two things about that person: the person is incompetence and clueless and uses the phrase “cartels” as shield. That person is still undecided about which of the many cartels to join/patronise.” The vocal lawyer posted on his official social media pages as he responded to the remarks by Nakhumicha.
