Days after the former prime minister Raila Odinga witnessed the installment of new chairman of Luo Council of Elders, controversy has allegedly hitted the council as per the latest reports.
As relayed by a report covered on Monday’s People Daily publication, a section of Luo Council of Elders have made a sudden u-turn as they are against the new installed chairman Randa.
A faction led by Adera Sawa are however opposed to the nomination of Randa, a long time aide of Raila Odinga’s father Oginga Odinga.
This comes a day after Mr Odinga who was the chief guest graced the event with traditional dances. It should be noted that Randa was installed as a replacement of Opondo who died this year in February.
Apparently, we wil have to see how the former prime minister Raila Odinga alongside other top leaders from Nyanza will handle the issue.
Present were Kisumu county governor Anyang Nyong’o, Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga, Siaya governor James Orengo, Migori governor Ayacko and many other leaders.
On the other side, Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s leaders are still considering to stage anti-government demonstrations as from 7th July as directed by the former premier.
Speaking yesterday, James Orengo and Otiende Amollo claimed the coalition will engage kenyans on 7th before resuming mass action demonstrations as was announced.
