Former President Donald Trump has made no secret of his intention to run for re-election in 2024. However, according to political analysts, there are a number of key mistakes that he could make that could derail his chances of winning.

1. Failing to broaden his appeal

Trump won the presidency in 2016 by appealing to a narrow base of white working-class voters. However, he will need to broaden his appeal if he wants to win in 2024. This means reaching out to minority voters, suburban voters, and young voters.

“Trump’s base is still there, but it’s not enough to win,” said Democratic strategist David Axelrod. “He needs to find a way to appeal to a broader range of voters if he wants to be successful.”

2. Getting bogged down in scandals

Trump is no stranger to controversy. He has been accused of sexual assault, racism, and corruption. If he gets bogged down in scandals in the lead-up to the election, it could damage his chances of winning.

“Trump is a very polarizing figure,” said Republican strategist Karl Rove. “If he gets caught up in scandals, it could energize his opponents and turn off some of his supporters.”

3. Not raising enough money

Running for president is a very expensive proposition. Trump will need to raise a lot of money if he wants to mount a serious campaign. However, he has alienated many of his wealthy donors since leaving office.

“Trump is a fundraising machine,” said Republican fundraiser Fred Malek. “But he’s going to need to find a way to get back on the good side of his donors if he wants to raise the money he needs.”

These are just three of the key mistakes that Trump could make that could see him miss out on the presidential ballot in 2024. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to avoid these pitfalls and mount a successful campaign.

A number of analysts and experts have weighed in on the potential mistakes that Trump could make in his bid for the presidency.

“Trump is a very impulsive person,” said political scientist Steven Levitsky. “He’s not always good at thinking through the consequences of his actions. This could lead him to make some serious mistakes in the campaign.”

“Trump is also very thin-skinned,” said historian Michael Beschloss. “He’s easily offended and quick to lash out at his critics. This could alienate voters and make it difficult for him to build a broad coalition.”

“Trump is a very polarizing figure,” said political analyst Charlie Cook. “He’s going to need to find a way to appeal to a broader range of voters if he wants to win. This is going to be a challenge.”

Only time will tell whether Trump will be able to avoid these mistakes and win the presidency in 2024. However, it is clear that he will face a number of challenges if he wants to be successful.
