Porn star Kagney Linn Karter died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the age of 36, officials have revealed.
Cuyahoga County officials who investigated the case listed Karter’s cause of death as an intra-oral shotgun wound — meaning she placed the shotgun in her mouth before operating the weapon, according to TMZ.
Her death, which has shocked friends and fans, comes amid a resurfaced account of her past feud with Chris Brown, in which she alleged he paid her $2,500 to serve as an escort and posted a photo of the singer’s genitals online posted.
The adult film actress and exotic dancer reportedly committed suicide in her home, according to a GoFundMe page set up by her friends on behalf of Kagney’s mother to raise money for a memorial service.
In 2015, Karter alleged that Brown paid her to be his escort when she shared photos of the singer’s penis on Twitter (currently known as TMZ.

Karter also said Brown thought the deal they made included sex, and when she refused to sleep with the Next to You singer, he started bullying her online, TMZ reported.
She reportedly tweeted things like “I WILL NEVER F*** A WOMAN BEATER EW DISGUSTING” and “HE IS PURE EVIL” about Brown.
A source previously told the newspaper Mirror that ‘Chris never met her or had any contact with her.’

Two of Karter’s family friends, Rachel and Megan, have set up a donation page to raise money to help Karter’s mother Tina pay for memorial services.
“Unfortunately, despite all of her impressive achievements and talents, Kagney struggled with mental health issues over the years,” Rachel and Megan said.
“However, even in her darkest days, she still came to the studio, always willing to learn, contribute and better herself in whatever small way she could.”
