Sydney Sweeney is accused of using an illegal streaming service to watch Law & Order, with fans claiming they saw a telltale sign on her Instagram.
The Euphoria star, 26, shared an image to her Instagram Story earlier this month as she reclined in front of the TV, watching the credits of the long-running NBC show roll.
Although the image has expired and is no longer on Sweeney’s Instagram, one of her followers took a screenshot and shared it on
The allegation stems from the video player seen on Sweeney’s TV screen. According to many, this player is similar to the video players used on streaming sites with illegal content.
The post quickly went viral, receiving more than 8 million views and hundreds of comments.

Many praised the actress for what they saw as a cost-saving measure.

Although it was claimed online that Sweeney was illegally streaming the favorite show, the claim remains unconfirmed.
Sweeney spared no expense on a new, massive coastal mansion in South Florida, which she bought for $13.4 million.
The house is over 7,000 square feet and features a gym, game room, elevator, aquarium, wine room and professional kitchen.

Sydney is the latest in a long line of stars to flee Hollywood, although the actress will still retain the property she owns in LA.
The mansion is Sydney’s third home in her property portfolio, with the actress also owning two mansions in Los Angeles.
The South Florida estate includes 20-foot cathedral ceilings and custom 10-foot mahogany doors that open to the backyard and offer sweeping ocean views.
The house consists of a main building and a guest house, which are connected by a covered passageway.

It has a total of six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, half of which are in the main house and the other half in the guesthouse.
It also has an indoor and outdoor kitchen, with a wine room for 520 bottles, a 330 liter aquarium and a room where you can look at the pool through mermaid windows.
Sweeney became a household name for her role as Cassie Howard in Euphoria, which debuted in 2019; she’s gone from strength to strength ever since, most recently starring in the hit romantic comedy Everyone But You.
The actress also founded Fifty-Fifty Films, her own production company, an idea that came about during COVID.
