Olivia Dunne shows off impressive balance beam skills ahead of fifth year with LSU gymnastics

Olivia Dunne is preparing for her fifth year as an LSU Tiger.

The national championship-winning gymnast, who recently confirmed she’s returning to college for a final season, shared a video of herself practicing some new skills on the balance beam.

The 21-year-old posted a clip of a gym workout to her Instagram Story on Thursday.

She was seen doing a somersault and landing well. The caption of the post read: ‘Summer fun!’

Dunne helped LSU’s gymnastics program win its first NCAA championship in April.

Three months later, she told her fans that she wasn’t ready to leave the stage yet.

“These past four years have changed my life. There is something special about wearing purple and gold tights,” she wrote on social media.

“And no matter how many opportunities come my way, there’s just something about LSU. And that’s why I’m here to say I’m not done yet,” she added.

“To the fifth grade, honey.”

Before returning to college in the fall, Dunne heads to Paris, where she cheering for the ‘GOAT’ Simone Biles in Paris 2024 Olympics.

The blonde beauty recently raved about the seven-time Olympic medalist.

“Simone has always been a GOAT and I think this is her revenge tour. What happened in 2020 was a freak thing and I think she wants revenge,” Dunne told Sports Illustrated on the red carpet at the ESPY Awards last week.

“She’s probably going to win,” Dunne added.

Dunne was of course referring to the Tokyo Olympics, where Biles withdrew from the all-around because of the ‘bends’.

This condition is a mental state in which gymnasts are unable to recognize where they are in the air during a routine.

At the age of 27, Biles is now the oldest member of the team and will participate in a variety of events over the next two weeks.
