The new girlfriend of Count Felix of Montpezat says she has faced serious online harassment from internet trolls since she started dating the Danish royal.
Mie Sofia Elers, 23, a glamorous Chilean-Danish actress, first spoke openly to Felix in February but says she has been abused online for “over a year.”
Felix, the younger son of Prince Joachim His first wife Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg, was stripped of his princely title last year by his grandmother Queen Margrethe.
Before he found love, he was known as Denmark’s ‘most eligible’ bachelor, as his older brother, Count Nikolai, was in a relationship with Benedikte Thoustrup.
Mie Sofia has now told Danish paper BT that she is dealing with ‘ugly’ and persistent abuse online and has even filed a police report.

She told the news outlet: “About a year ago I started receiving hate messages on my social media accounts. I chose to ignore it until it escalated and these profiles started reaching out to my friends, family and followers on social media.
‘Hate can be ignored to a certain extent, but intimidation, photo manipulation and spreading lies are much more damaging.’
The abuse continues despite Sofia setting her social media profiles to private, and now her friends and family are being targeted too.
She added that fake profiles posing as her have used AI or Photoshop to manipulate her photos, such as depicting her with men other than Felix, smoking and wearing devil horns on her head.
The beautiful actress reported the incident to police and Instagram last month, but says the social media giant has yet to take action.
She said: ‘I understand that these types of incidents can happen when using social media, but that doesn’t make the situation any less frightening.’

Mie Sofia was born in Pucón (Chile) to a Chilean mother and a Danish father. She studied at the Copenhagen Film and Theatre School before moving to Madrid.

Felix, 21, is currently studying International Shipping and Trade at Copenhagen Business School.
The couple are said to have gone on holiday last week to Queen Margrethethe southern French wine castle Château de Cayx, where he joined his older brother Count Nikolai and his girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup.
Like his beloved older brother Count Nikolai, Felix is also a model and does campaigns for Georg Jensen.
In 2022, Queen Margrethe – who had by then abdicated in favour of her son King Frederik and his wife Queen Maria – shocked royal observers when she sensationally announced that Joachim’s four children would lose their titles.
Nikolai, 24, Felix, 21, Henrik, 13, and Athena, 11, are now known as the ‘Count and Countess’ and are referred to as Their Excellencies, rather than Their Royal Highness.
The Queen stressed that the move would be “good for their future” and that the children, who have retained their position in the line of succession, “can shape their own lives without being limited by the special considerations and duties” that formally joining the Danish royal family entails.
After the family were stripped of their titles in September 2022, Prince Joachim claimed his mother’s decision had caused “harm” to his children.
Months later, the sixth in line to the throne admitted there was a “lack of communication” within the royal family in the run-up to the shock announcement.

Joachim told local news outlet BT: ‘There is still a lot of work to be done. Communication was what was missing. Now we have met and we are on the right track.’
He added that he was given only five days’ notice before the news was made public.
After the queen’s announcement, Joachim spoke to Danish magazine Ekstra Bladet outside the Danish embassy in Paris, where he lived with his French-born wife Princess Marie and their two youngest children. He said his four children were “hurt” by their grandmother’s decision.
“I was given five days to tell them. In May, I was presented with a plan that basically said it would happen when the kids were each 25. Now I only had five days to tell them. Athena will be 11 in January,” he explained at the time.
Joachim and his second wife Marie admitted in an interview with BT that their relationship with Prince Frederik and Princess Mary is ‘complicated’.
Meanwhile, Prince Joachim’s ex-wife Alexandra said her sons, Nikolai and Felix, felt “left out” by the institution and the decision came “like a bolt from the blue”.
The Royal House said in a further statement that the decision was “long overdue.”
“We understand that there are many emotions at stake at this time, but we hope that the Queen’s wish to make the Royal House future-proof will be respected,” the statement said.
