Police in #Bradford City Centre Respond to Large Disturbance this evening
Police in Bradford City Centre responded to a large disturbance around Market Street at approximately 5:00 PM this evening. Significant number of officers were deployed to the scene to deal with the incident.
At least one person was detained and a number of police vehicles were attacked during the disturbance. The police plane was overheard following the incident, but it is not yet clear what the nature of the disturbance was.
West Yorkshire Police, in a statement, said: At 4.25pm today (Tuesday), police received a report of a group of males in balaclavas acting suspiciously in Market Street, Bradford.
Officers initially attended and found all in order.
A short time later it was reported that a knife had been seen as males were fighting to the rear of the magistrates court.
Armed officers were deployed to the location and a male was arrested. A knife was also seized.
Further arrests have been made and enquiries into the disturbance are continuing.Â
