Miles Morales’ final suit in Spider Man 2 turned out to be an Adidas collab

Fans think it’s the worst suit yet.

The Evolved Suit, which you unlock toward the game’s finale, modifies the hero’s OG black and red spandex with Colgate-blue accent marks and an open-top mask exposing his starter locs. The consensus from a majority of Spider-Man 2 fans is that this new original suit isn’t his best look.

It’s incredibly unpopular, but now that we know it’s thanks to an egregious brand deal with Adidas who are selling it in real life, it’s even worse. When he shows it off to Peter Parker, he proudly proclaims that it’s a “Miles Morales original”. That already felt out-of-place since he also made his own suit in the last game – it comes off like Miles stepping away from the Spider-Man identity, feeling uncomfortably Kid Arachnid-coded. It being a brand deal only further cements how hollow that statement is.

The suit isn’t Miles. It’s not personal to his story and it has no meaning tied to who he is or who he wants to be. All the suit does is turn Miles into a walking advertisement, a big glaring Adidas billboard, made all the more ironic by the fact that, earlier in the game, he says Spider-Men don’t do brand deals.

Both the “moisture managing” top and the “3D-sculpted pouch” leggings cost $50 a pop. The “soft and comfortable” shoes will cost you a staggering $230. At the moment, the collection is only available to adiClub members and is set to launch on November 3. As you might’ve guessed, players aren’t taking a liking to Adidas’ Miles collab outfits either, and are now claiming that the in-game suit is just product placement for the clothing company.

“I was in the ‘it’s not that bad” camp before but yeah fuck blatant product placement,” one user wrote on the r/Spiderman subreddit. “I thought it was just the shoes, I didn’t realize that the whole suit was Adidas.”

The story started off describing how the pastor met with Trump to request federal aid after a flood — and then pivoted, “However, during this time, the pastor had a secret life playing out online on social media and Reddit. The mayor operated social media accounts as a transgender woman under the pseudonym Brittini Blaire Summerlin.”

After being contacted by the conservatives publication, 1819 News, Copeland promptly deleted the accounts and asked that the images not to be made public due to his family and position as a pastor.

However, the conservative publication ignored his request and published the photos anyways in a sinister attempt to smear him and ruin his life.

Copeland addressed his Baptist congregation on Wednesday night, stating that he was the victim of an “internet attack” and declaring, “Yes, I have taken pictures with my wife in the privacy of our home in an attempt of humor because I know I’m not a handsome man nor a beautiful woman either. I apologize for any embarrassment caused by my private, personal life that has come publicly.”

Unfortunately, bigoted Baptist leaders in Alabama issued a damming statement saying they had “become aware of the alleged unbiblical behavior.”

Today, Copeland took his own life, according to police. They did not release any further details.

One of his close friends responded to the tragic news by declaring, “I am so angry right now and heartbroken. I witnessed a good man be publicly ridiculed and crucified over the last few days…to the point that he just took his own life today. I knew he was suffering so I reached out to him yesterday and offered him support and encouragement. He was appreciative and acknowledged that he had been going through some “dark days” over the last few days. I just want to ask you people who thought it humorous to publicly ridicule him, ‘Are you happy now?’ What crime did he commit?”

Other friends of Copeland noted that he didn’t hold bigoted views “toward transgender people or people who enjoy cross-dressing,” so there was simply no need for the conservative news outlet to out him.

Rest in Peace, Bubba Copeland…The article also included pictures of the pastor wearing women’s underwear that he posted on Instagram and Reddit.

News Leader 9 also spoke with some people in the community who said they were saddened by the news in so many ways.

“Things that were obviously private came out publicly and quite frankly unexpectedly. I can’t imagine, again, what that must be like for the mayor, his family and for anyone who’s been affected by this,” said Kris Patton. “Probably the most heart-wrenching thing about it is the effect that it is going to be on the community.”

“What he did in his personal life… his business, you know,” said Jennifer Schmitt. “After the interview, Copeland promptly deleted the accounts and asked them not to be made public due to his family and position as a pastor,” the reporter wrote.

The article contains several racy photos from Copeland’s social media accounts where he posted under the pseudonym. Monger interviewed Copeland, who said the posts were ways of “getting rid of stress.”
