Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Actor, TC Viruz, is not dead as he’s rescued and in the hospital after being in the same capsized boat plus 5 other people with Jnr Pope Odonwodo crossing River Niger in viral video.
According to our source, Junior Pope died during a boat trip.
The boat capsized and he, alongside two other yet-to-be-identified actors, drowned. His body was recovered and rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
He also confirmed that the remains of a crew member were recovered while the bodies of three other crew members were yet to be recovered as they were five in the boat which capsized after colliding with another boat around the River Niger area in Anambra State.
Less than 24 hours ago, the actor put up a video of himself in a speed boat with no life jacket on with the caption: “See me lamenting the risk we take to entertain you, crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…who does that?” (sic)
The death of Junior Pope is the latest in a string of tragedies that has hit Nollywood this year.
Last month, ace thespians, such as Mr. Ibu and Sisi Quadri passed on.
