HOT: Sakaja Johnson reported paid Kariobangi boys Ksh2M as they organized and facilitated them to burn down Nairobi City Hall Office during Reject Finance Bill 2024 in Kenya protest

Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Sakaja Johnson reported paid Kariobangi boys Ksh2M as they organized and facilitated them to burn down Nairobi City Hall Office during Reject Finance Bill 2024 in Kenya protest. 

According to information, journalists are trending the DM exposing Governor Sakaja’s evil plan. 

According to information, Sakaja, is blaming protesters or protestants for the burning of City Hall office. 
Information reads: “Sakaja is the one who organized and facilitated Kariobangi boys to burn City Hall office. The payments were done through Matakeny Mobimba alias Matach. Sakaja burnt City Hall. 

“It was planned and executed. The boys received ksh2.5 Million a group of 20. The brokers ate 500K.” 

More than 200 protesters have been arrested in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, in ongoing protests against proposed tax hikes in a finance bill that is due to be tabled in parliament.

Civil society groups said that demonstrations and a planned sit-down outside parliament buildings will continue despite the arrest of 210 protesters.

Police hurled tear gas canisters at hundreds of demonstrators on Tuesday, forcing businesses to temporarily close because of fears over looting.

A lawyer, Wanjohi Gachie, said that he was protesting on behalf of all Kenyans who would be potentially burdened by the tax hikes.

“I’m requesting the police not to arrest or beat us, because we are fighting for their rights as well,” he said.

Some major tax proposals in the bill were dropped after a Tuesday morning meeting between ruling party lawmakers and President William Ruto. 

“They are not lenient in any way,” she told AFP.

Many demonstrators waved signs emblazoned “do not force the taxes on us”, referring to President William Ruto as Zakayo, the Swahili name for the biblical tax collector Zacchaeus.

Student Paloma Njoroge, 22, who was among those protesting, rejected pro-government claims that the demonstrations amounted to “social media activism that yields nothing”.
