Information reaching Kossyderrickent has it that Umlazi C Section dancer, Lungy Gwala, has passed away.
According to information, she died in her sleep.
Lungy from Umlazi, south of Durban in KZN, died on Tuesday, 25 June.
She was well-known for working with former Idols star Nosipho Thwala as her dancer. Many people on social media platforms have shared their heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
The Gwala family confirmed the passing of the Umlazi C Section dancer saying they are devastated by the untimely death. The family said she died on the evening of 25 June 2024. “In this time of grief, we appeal for your compassion, space and the time to congregate as a family to decide on the upcoming days.’
Lungy had been in the entertainment industry for some time. She also ran a YouTube channel named Lungy Gwala, where she showcased her creativity and dance routines.
She featured in many music videos and collaborated with Jobe London on their 2020 song, Udlala Ngam.
Lungy was popular on TikTok and other social media platforms, where she had a large following and fan base.
