Jokic will not play in the FIBA World Cup
As mentioned, just over two months ago, Jokic’s remarkable contributions led the Denver Nuggets to a resounding championship victory, and he walked away with the coveted Finals MVP trophy. However, amidst the celebrations, Jokic’s decision to forgo participation in the upcoming FIBA World Cup for his native Serbia has ignited discussions, and even anger within the basketball community in his country.
He’s looked incredibly happy since arriving back in Serbia. His first public appearance was at a horse race in Serbia and he looked as happy as he did at the Denver Nuggets championship parade if not happier.
Jokic is having a great time, singing and dancing and showing not a care in the world towards anybody that could be watching. Throughout the NBA offseason Jokic has showed that he is a simple man with simple priorities, attending his horse races and hanging out with his friends in Serbia after winning the NBA Finals.
Ever since the Denver Nuggets won the NBA Finals, clips have continued to go viral of star big man Nikola Jokic having a blast in his home country of Serbia. It looks like the party is still going on for Jokic, as another clip has surfaced of him dancing and singing along at a party with his fellow Serbians, via LeBronchitis.
Jokic almost immediately went back to his homeland after the Denver Nuggets’ championship parade, but not before some partying in Las Vegas along the way. Now he’s getting down to a local band and inexplicably the only person around standing on a chair.
