Kyle Sandilands unveiled his brand new $464,000 Mercedes-Maybach last week.
And the 54-year-old recently revealed the scandalous reason he bought the new vehicle.
The radio shock jock explained that after noticing a defect in his old Bentley, he decided to buy a new car rather than fix the problem.
‘An indicator appeared on the dashboard showing that the left front headlight had gone out. I thought, “s**t, this isn’t a 1980 Corolla, why is the headlight gone?” So I got into trouble and just got a new car,” he told his shocked co-host Jackie “O” Henderson.
“I reacted badly, found a new car, told (my manager) Bruno I wanted that car and it didn’t show up until two days later,” he continued.

Kyle is known for his taste in luxury vehicles and often shows off his extensive car collection to his fans on social media.
Sandilands further revealed that most days he alternates between his vehicles while his manager fills them up with petrol.
Kyle took to Instagram last Friday to share a video of his striking black Mercedes-Maybach as he continues to expand his luxury car fleet.

He showed his lavish car to his radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who was impressed with his new purchase.
His new vehicle turned out to be the $464,000 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC, which has a 3,982 cc engine and 410 kW of power.
In the video, Jackie was seen amazed as she walked around the luxury car, which had an auto-retractable step to help users get into the vehicle.

Kyle also had the vehicle customized with special license plates, while the interior featured a sleek all-black finish with striking red lighting.
While it is unknown how much Kyle spent on the model, the personal touches may have increased the price of the vehicle beyond its listed price of $464,000.
Maybach is a German luxury car brand that was first founded in 1909 and is now part of Mercedes-Benz AG after the companies merged in 2015.

Kyle has been seen driving various glamorous vehicles over the years and showing off his success.
Last year, Kyle added a brand new $250,000 Cadillac Escalade Platinum to his collection when he was spotted driving the vehicle around over the summer.
His fleet also includes a Rolls Royce, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Range Rover, and now he has added a Cadillac Escalade Platinum.
