Where in the world are the Guptas? Don’t ask the UAE

The Guptas’ came to South Africa during apartheid days and were known to Nelson Mandela and within ANC circles. Most notable members are the brothers Ajay, Atul, and Rajesh “Tony” Gupta—as well as Atul’s nephews Varun, and US-based Ashish and Amol.

The Guptas Brothers are accused of using their connections with Jacob Zuma, president of South Africa from 2009 to 2018, to win contracts, influence cabinet appointments and siphon off state funds. Zuma and the Guptas have denied all wrongdoing.

Last year, we were told that those fugitives are in prison there in UAE. I don’t believe this our own Minister of Justice told the whole nation that the Guptas are in jail. A United Arab Emirates court has dismissed South Africa’s request to extradite Atul and Rajesh Gupta. Lamola have since accused the UAE of “non-cooperation”The supposedly detained Gupta brothers, Rajesh and Atul, have reportedly been spotted in Switzerland. It is believed that they went as far as going to Central Africa using South African passports in a private jet.Guptas submit bids for asylum in Cameroon and Central Africa.
