Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema has argued that the acting public protector, Kholeka Gcaleka is an ANC member. He said he has known her during their ANC Youth League days.
Kholeka Gcaleka is also said to have worked in the office of former minister, Malusi Gigaba as an adviser. It seems that Julius Malema knows a lot about the acting public protector.
“Acting public protector advocate Kholeka Gcaleka led the ANC Youth League with us, when did she terminate her ANC membership? She left to be an advisor to Malusi Gigaba,” said Julius Malema.
The Economic Freedom Fighters leader, Julius Malema said in as much as he believes in cadre deployment, it should always be based on qualifications. He says there will be a problem only when those deployed are not qualified to do the work.
EFF has been calling for its leaders to pursue education. They said the first assignment of a revolutionary leader is to be educated, so that when one is given a task, they will be able to execute it properly.
The red beret leader says he intends to leave politics at the age of 55, citing that he does not want to spend the rest of his life active in politics
“I don’t want to die a politician because I have been in politics from nine years. If you have not been to the picket lines you will not know that protest does not have a formula,” Malema said.
These utterances by Julius Malema concerning his future have left his supporters divided. Some argued that it might be too soon for him to say this, while others have applauded for him. They said most politicians are not willing to relinquish power, and would rather hold on to it until they cannot do it anymore.
This is also going to be a talking point among the EFF members who have been wondering when will Julius Malema pave way for someone to become president of the party.
