The EFF just called out the ruling party of South Africa and have made some very serious accusations. They claimed that the ANC has failed to protect the Children of South Africa. The question is, are they right. Here’s the full statement followed by my analysis on these accusations.

The statement above is a response to a statistics South Africa statement, which said that two hundred and seven Children were married off in 2021. The EFF stated that it’s disturbing that the ANC decided this was acceptable enough to register it with the department of home affairs.

They also claim that the Children of South Africa are forced to live with the ANC government which fails to safeguard them, among other things.

Personally I agree that Children should never be allowed to get married and it is detestable for these marriages to be registered with the Department of Home affairs. When these marriages were being registered, officials should have noticed that the Children were underage and someone should have intervened.

I also agree that Children are not being properly protected in South Africa, at least from personal experience. I have been in situations where I saw Children being abused as well as starving. The ANC government should be putting measures in place to stop this from happening.

However while it’s easy to throw criticism at the ANC, I have to ask what the EFF is planning to do to combat child abuse and child neglect.

Sadly I don’t see any political party stepping in to help Children and until they do I urge South African Citizens to do something. If you see a child being abused or neglected in your area, please contact the police or a child welfare group. You may be saving that child from a bad life.
