Protect Amapiano. Our ministry of sports arts and culture is failing. We have a hot international export product but bo Zizi Kodwa are not investing even though they are Konka regulars. They should have been the first to provide funding for Amapiano artists to travel abroad and spread this uniquely South African sound. This is how you grow the industry and attract more collaborations. This is how you use music to create more local tourism.

I think people are missing the point about why South Africans were upset . Nobody is saying Nigerians shouldn’t do amapiano. People are just saying acknowledge that it started in South Africa . Not in Nigeria as some are saying

Mmusi Maimane went to say, We must not just nika our artisitic work without making sure we retain key over the progress of the sound. We must appreciate how much revenue was created by artists like Bob Marley with Reggae. We all know that DanceHall and Reggae are still proudly Jamaican sounds, first and foremost.
