Manyi’s response on the Suspension of Eskom boss left people talking.

The Economic Freedom Fighters newly found leader and Member of Parliament Mzwanele Manyi left people talking following his remarks about load shedding. Manyi and his party, the EFF, are known for being critical of our government as they always talk negative about the state of affairs.

However, on Thursday, he left many people shocked as he claimed that there is hope for an end to load shedding. “There’s hope, load shedding might just end.” Mzwanele Manyi said. He was responding to an article which indicated that the power utility has suspended their Head of Security.

Karen Pillay has reportedly been suspended by Eskom amid a probe into a R500, million contract irregularities. It is not clear how her suspension will affect the generation of power at Eskom, but he claimed that load shedding might just end.

Some people commended him for apparently being brave enough to acknowledge the good things being done by the administration. “You stopped being a cry baby and a spoiled little child about this administration. I see you are acknowledging the good things, Jimmy.” A social media user said.

Another user reminded him about how he previously claimed that we were heading for the worst stages of load shedding. “I thought you said we were heading for stage 9, and you almost took my head off when I called you out for spreading misinformation and lies.” Another user said.

However, others claimed that it was all happening because of the upcoming national elections next year. “This all happening for the 2024 general elections; otherwise we will still be in the dark.” As we approach the elections next year, one of the major blows for the ruling party is load shedding.

“You will be surprised once a so-called independent probe is completed. The headline will read like NOT IMPLICATED.” A social media user said, while others questioned about the people she was allegedly doing corruption with at Eskom because they are apparently still there.
