Fikile Mbalula has responded to critics who are saying that he borrowed R3 million to buy a luxury home, and never paid back. Mr Fikile Mbalula told those who have anything against should come forward with it, declaring that he is not afraid of investigation. However, he asked them to take away the ANC from this because he is the one involved, not the ANC. He noted that people tried him in the media without hearing his side of the story. He said that if they had anything on him, they should not worry because Mbalula will respond. Since Ground up published the article yesterday, critics have been on the neck of Mr Fikile Mbalula, saying that he is corrupt, but he is accusing others of being corrupt. Someone said that Mr Fikile Mbalula should be planning to step aside, the way he has always used the step aside rule to hunt others. However, Mr Fikile Mbalula is maintaining his innocence.

Mbalula argued that he will never allow himself to be tried by the media, saying that if his conduct affects the ANC, then the ANC will act against him. He noted that he is not afraid of being investigated, even by law enforcement agencies and whatever agency that is involved. He said that the media is never fair in their judgement and unfortunately, this is what they are trying to do about him, saying that he will never be intimidated. Speaking emphatically why he will not reply to the media that published the article against him, he said he cannot be forced to dance to music he did not request for, saying that this is what they are planning to do to him using the media. Someone asked him in the comment section, “Does this mean you @MbalulaFikile cannot afford to buy a house having been a minister for years and @zanupf_patriots are not paying him enough to support misgoverning in Zimbabwe”,asking why he had to borrow people’s money.
