Gayton Mckenzie Finally Call for Peace Between South Africans and Foreign Nationals

Over the years, South Africa has attracted migrants from various African countries and beyond due to factors such as economic opportunities, political stability (compared to some neighboring countries), and historical ties with other nations.

Foreign nationals contribute to the diversity and cultural richness of South Africa, bring different skills and expertise, and can contribute to economic growth. However, the large influx of migrants has also presented challenges. In a recent development, the immediate past Mayor of Central Karoo, Mr Gayton Mckenzie has called for synergy and peaceful coexistence amongst South Africans and foreign nationals who are on each other’s throat over the fire incident that took the lives of 75 persons in Johannesburg on Thursday last week.

He admonished South Africans to take positive actions in making sure that those who hijack buildings are arrested and brought to book.

According to his exact statement on Twitter;

“We should stop blaming each other for the terrible fire that claimed the lives of 75 people, we should take collective responsibility and action now. Let’s fix our mistakes by raiding a building a day and arrest the illegal foreigners and the people who hijacked the buildings”.
